In a season of uncertainty, filled with intense political and church division, R. DeAndre Johnson felt a call to disrupt the noise of conflict with prayer. His spiritual practice of pondering the day and writing a prayer in response garnered virtual “amens” as he shared some of the prayers on social media. Passed from friend to friend, the prayers soon caught the eye of artist Ibraim Nascimento who offered to create art pieces to accompany them. The collaboration that emerged has resulted in this collection of prayers, woven through word and art.
